Gloriana has just returned from a successful concert in Hamilton as part of the Southern Grampians Promenade of Sacred Music, an annual festival of sacred music that’s held in and around Hamilton Victoria.

The choir performed on the evening of Saturday 6 April for a large and appreciate audience of locals and out-of-towners, and received a standing ovation for its performance of such works as the Martin Mass for Double Choir and Eric Whitacre’s Sleep. The choir also sang Palestrina’s Missa Brevis and Gjeilo’s Ubi Caritas at mass the following morning at Christ Church in the centre of Hamilton.

2014 marks the third time that Gloriana has been invited to take part in the Southern Grampians Promenade of Sacred Music. The festival is an exciting opportunity for the choir to perform in this regional centre and it was a great pleasure to sing for such an appreciative audience. Gloriana looks forward to singing in Hamilton again in the near future.
