Gloriana Performs Gesualdo Tenebrae Setting

Andrew Raiskums will be conducting a special Tenebrae service at 8 pm this Good Friday as part of the rich musical programme for Easter at St Peter’s, Eastern Hill in East Melbourne.

Tenebrae (Latin for “shadows” or “darkness”) is an Easter service of psalms and lamentations that has been set to music by many composers.

On Good Friday the St Peter’s Choir and Gloriana will perform a setting by Italian composer Carlo Gesualdo.

The performance will also feature the Allegri Miserere. This is a free performance
