Alleluia

cd

We’re proud to announce the release of our first fully produced compact disc Alleluia, an hour of sacred choral masterworks meticulously mastered by skilled sound engineer Brett Collingwood, professionally printed and complete with an eight-page booklet.

Alleluia is a fully mastered compilation of Gloriana’s live concert recordings from 2002 and 2008, with repertoire spanning five centuries: from the sumptuous Renaissance polyphony of sixteenth-century Palestrina to the interweaving melodies of twentieth-century Frank Martin. Music by Josquin, Gesualdo, Lotti and Rachmaninoff completes the collection.

A rich and mellow exploration of some of the most profound sacred texts, Alleluia captures the vibrant and expressive sound of the 28-voice choir.

Here is a full tracklist:

Josquin Desprez:
In principio erat verbum
Palestrina:
Stabat Mater dolorosa
Gesualdo:
Hei mihi Domine, O vos omnes
Lotti:
Crucifixus à 8
Rachmaninoff:
Svete tikhyi, Blagosloven Yesi Gospodi, Velichit dusha moya Gospoda (from the Vespers)
Martin:
Gloria & Credo (from the Mass for Double Choir).

CDs cost $25 each and can be purchased at the door at concerts or ordered by printing the Alleluia PDF (1.4Mb) and posting the order form. Phone orders can also be placed by calling Gloriana on 0417 368 277.
